Visit to the Galleria Borghese, known as the Queen of the Private Art Collections. A unique XVII century collection of Renaissance and Baroque painting and Ancient Roman to Modern Sculptures, originally created by the powerful Cardinal Scipione Borghese. We will start form the top floor admiring paintings by Raphael, Titian, Botticelli and Perugino as well as Roman and modern sculptures and coffins. On the first floor we will discover the stories behind Bernini’s Statues and admire the six Caravaggio’s Masterpieces that were owned by the Cardinal, who did not hesitated to blackmail the painter Cavalier D’Arpino to acquire two of them in the XVII century. Afterwards we head off to the gardens which surround the Casino Borgese heading towards Via veneto.
We will then end our walk in to the Pincio where we will enjoy a breathtaking view over Rome.
